Wilkinsburg Affordable Housing Coalition

The Wilkinsburg Affordable Housing Coalition (WAHC) was formed in late 2011 and exists to increase coordination and information sharing between groups providing housing services to Wilkinsburg residents. The WAHC provides services to residents who want to make improvements to their houses or who are required to make such improvements to correct code violations. The Housing Coalition consists of a variety of nonprofit housing organizations: Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh (RTP) | Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh (HFH) | Pittsburgh Housing Development Association, Inc. (PHDA) | Wilkinsburg Christian  Housing | NeighborWorks of Western Pennsylvania | ReEnergize with GTECH | ACTION Housing | Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation.

  • Weatherization
  • Ramps & Porches
  • Carpentry
  • Painting
  • Reduce energy consumption in your home through ReEnergize
  • Financial, Homebuyer Education and Counseling Services from NeighborWorks
  • Low-cost or free services for senior citizens, veterans, residents with disabilities, and low-income residents
